What it is

Dysport is a purified botulinum toxin type A. Injected with a fine needle, it relaxes the muscle that folds the skin, so lines look softer.

It does not fill deep folds (that is filler) and it does not tighten loose skin.

Common uses here

• frown lines and forehead lines

• crow’s feet

• bunny lines

• marionette / “bitterness” lines (selected cases)

• chin creases and some neck bands

• lip lines

• brow lift (selected cases)

• square jaw (masseter)

• underarm or palm sweating
   

What to expect

Time: about 10–15 minutes.
Onset: 3–5 days, fuller effect about 7–10 days.
Lasts: often 3–6 months. If you stop, lines return toward how they looked before, usually over 4–6 months.

Aftercare

• Stay upright for 4 hours.

• Do not rub or massage the area.

• You may gently use the treated muscles (frown / raise brows as advised) that day.

• Makeup can cover small bruises.

• Mild ache or a short headache can happen; paracetamol is usually enough.

Call the same day if an eyelid droops, the smile looks uneven, or swallowing / breathing feels wrong.
